Some Days Will Feel Lighter

One day, you will laugh before you remember you were grieving. And for a split second, life will feel normal again.

Not perfect.
Not untouched.
But lighter.

The sun will hit your skin differently. Music will sound good again. You’ll catch yourself making plans. You’ll feel present inside your own life for a moment instead of simply surviving it. And then comes the guilt. The quiet thought: “Am I allowed to feel okay?”

Yes.
Yes, you are.

Healing is not betrayal. Your joy does not erase your love. Your laughter does not dishonor your loss. Grief is not meant to imprison you forever.

Some days will still ache deeply. Some mornings will still feel impossibly heavy. But there will also be days where your nervous system unclenches… where your spirit exhales… where life gently reminds you that you are still here.  Trust me, I've been where you are now.

That is not something to fear. That is life returning to you in pieces. And when those lighter days arrive, you do not have to apologize for them.

Receive them. 🖤
