You process at your own pace
Share

There’s a quiet pressure that shows up in healing. It doesn’t always come from other people. Sometimes… it comes from within. The voice that says:
“You should be further along by now.”
“You should be over this.”
“Why does this still feel this way?”
And before you even realize it…you start measuring your healing. Comparing where you are to where you think you’re supposed to be. But healing doesn’t work like that. There is no finish line. No perfect timeline. No moment where you suddenly become “done.”
There is only your process. And your process has its own rhythm. Some days will feel lighter. Like you’re finally moving forward. And then there are days where everything feels just as present as it did before. And that doesn’t mean you’ve gone backward. It means something in you is still unfolding.
Still being processed.
Still being integrated.
You are not behind. You are not late. You are not doing this wrong. You are moving at the pace your body… your heart… your spirit can hold. And that pace? Is enough.
You don’t have to rush your healing to make it make sense to anyone else. You don’t have to speed it up to feel like you’re making progress. You just have to stay with yourself.
One moment.
One breath.
One truth at a time.
